The dems created a politicsl party version of a house of cards, a large tent full of groups that hate each other and have no real goal beyond "prevent Republicans from winning". With Trump's second win and really with Republican wins in 2022 that goal has failed and the group has collapsed into infighting and chaos. Republicans meanwhile are now a big tent of people who can tolerate each other to get at least 30% of what each faction wants all because they have an ounce of national pride that keeps them together, and they are not going to give up power for the honor of the other side. This is why I knew that the epstein story would get nowhere, because it quickly became partisan nonsense to be used by whichever side was not in power, and the right side is done with it while the left side can't decide on how to use it (due to some factions of the left not wanting to use the story as it inherently hurts them).
