I don't think it matters. A passing comment from some boring adult in their lives is nothing compared to the relentless onslaught of subliminal and liminal sociopolitical programming and consumerist advertising a teenager endures on a daily basis. When I was in high school my teachers would say things like "homosexuality is unnatural and gay marriage is a direct attack on the dignity of the church" but then I'd go home and watch South Park, Family Guy, Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report, which all made fun of that opinion. These days there's all sorts of shit on TikTok telling kids the government is run by Nazi pedophiles, what is a teacher going to say to corrupt someone who hears that all day?

That may be true yeah I recall hearing that once they allowed married female teachers, you had to leave once you started being visibly pregnant. Of course that was a slippery slope, just like female teachers to begin with.
