It’s all for show. Ever heard the term “postcard family”? Abuse is rife behind closed doors. And not just at home, they treat each other like shit at church too. Every ward needs a punching bag, and i was that punching bag.
I was bullied WAAAY worse in the young men’s quorum than i ever was at school, in fact i was hardly bullied at all in comparison… and the church leaders encouraged it. Even now they say I deserved it and that i’m a “faggot” for leaving.
Also my dad was the strictest father in our ward, as in i was made to go to confession for buying soda on a Sunday. Yet the fucker was having an affair the entire time. And when he got outed it was “God forgave me so you should too”.

I grew up in Sydney and my ward was full of Polynesians. But ironically it was the white members who treated me like dirt. Also there’s more closet cases in the church than you think
