I don't think I've ever actually met a christian besides the occasional nigerian. That has nothing to do with what he said. Truth doesn't come from authority. Something having more authority on a topic doesn't automatically imply that everything they say on that topic is true. If you position is "the authorities can never lie or be wrong" then you are literally an authoritarian by definition.
