right now public transport is unusable. there is not enough lines nor frequency for existing lines to make taking the train a desirable option. what we need is to build more high density housing and office buildings near the existing and planned stations. currently public transit covers less than 2% of the city and it’s not very quick because of awful funding

there is progress krautbro. this line is opening up in october but again it has terrible frequency but at least it stops at the airport and a popular university. average speed 27 mph so it goes 26 miles in 1 hour

That's been the norm, historically speaking.
Public Transportation falls under the umbrella of Pubic Utility, and it's meant to be offered AT COST, so as to greatly increase GDP, and actually lower the costs of doing Business.
It was an absoultely essentially component of the Industrial Revolution up through the mid 20th century.
It should NEVER be privatized or permitted to fall into disrepair
