I'll be honest, I don't think most of society outside of puritans really care since we live in a fairly sexually liberal society, but they're also the ones doing all the child rape usually through marriage. If you really wanted to go fuck a kid (not advocating for this), you could go to LA, Las Vegas, or Seattle and they're lined up on the roads in the open walking the streets and nobody does a fucking thing about it. It would just be easier to lower the age of consent at this point because a ton of children don't have support, benefits or anything that an older person could provide for them in America and with the amount of debt, liberal policy makers won't be able to deal with the issue as much as conservatives. Some will be abused, but perhaps, that's a cultural issue that needs to be dealt with in other ways.

We're almost at the point where most Americans are illegal or living illegally, so while my solution seems drastic, it's not as bad as the rich simply genociding the entire country through financial warfare.
