The Trump-Putin Alaska meeting is meant to fail. It's to show that the US took "seriously" a peaceful resolution, and now "forced" to increase military action which will be overwhelming missile strikes on all Russia positions and infrastructure in pre 2014 Ukraine territory. It's going to be overwhelming and devastating. Russia does not have the ability or domestic elite support (or international support) to respond.
Use that info however you like.
NOTE. Russian officials are aware of this, and their only real response is complete capitulation which allies do think is a possibility, and will only result in minor missile strikes regardless (in this scenario Crimea is excluded).
