He's alright, but he and his government made a ton of poor decisions and mistakes (some that should have been seen at the time and some that became clear only through the lens of retrospect).
Ultimately, you can't live in the past, and attempting to worship or reanimate the ashes of history will get you nowhere fast. We should learn from the successes, the failures, the strengths, the weaknesses, and the wisdom of the past, but it should all serve to help us move forward more precisely, more effevtively, and with good and sure footing.
