Old enough to remember him run. He said Bush Sr orchestrated the Iraq war by telling Hussein we had no interest in his border dispute with Kuwait and said it during a debate. He said CEOs should follow Japan and Europe and stop taking huge salaries because it was demoralizing to workers. He said that debt was fine IF we had shit to show for it but we donโ€™t. He said the debt (at that time) could have paid off all the mortgages west of the Mississippi. He said that โ€trickle downโ€ was bullshit. And, for the /pol crowd, he belonged to a country club that didnโ€™t allow members of the tribe.

He was ok for the time, but I tend to think of Trump as the (actual) Ross Perot we never got

Perot's intent and heart were in the right place, for what he was and what *true* 'republicanism' stood for, back then
He and Buchanan were examples of the 80s-90s American center and right trying to wrest power away from the Uniparty D.C. swamp

He was defeated by GHWB's Arkansas Iran-Contra crime partner at Mena Airport, slick willy
1981-1992 Iran-Contra GHWB (Reagan was *never* the president)
1992-2000 Iran-Contra slick willy

We'll never know, because he never got elected to be put to the test. But the ideas he had and the platform he ran on was based. He wanted to balance the budget and was against globalism. But would he actually have done it, or would he just suck zionist dick like every other president since Johnson? We'll never know, because like I said he didn't get a chance to find out.

At the very least, I doubt he'd have been worse than Clinton turned out to be anyway, so there's that. He did cause Bush to lose in 1992 and for Clinton to get into office though. That wasn't based.

During the '92 presidential debate he said Nafta was a "giant sucking sound" of jobs leaving the USA. Proven correct even before the decade was done.

Look up the full debate with Al Gore over Nafta in '93. On Larry King's cnn show.

>LIKE ELONG

Yes, Ross was 110% Welfare Queen just like Musk.

He grossly overpaid for shit software, then bribed his way into selling to States to run their Welfare cases at literally 50X the going rate.

IIRC the trick was instead of SOP for a State to buy a System, then do unlimited Case Processing, he "sold" them on the idea of him charging "per case" because the cost of one case looks smaller than the whole system.

Then he somehow 20X the number of cases to process by "mission creep".

He never made an honest buck in his life.

Boomers voted for trump thinking they were gonna get a business man like Perot. Little did they know they Trump can't even perform simple math. Ross Perot was the real deal, and it should've one of many wake up calls for the country when he didn't get elected. Same with how Ron Paul was treated during his runs too. We never get the tried and true honest to God Americans that truly believe in putting their nation 1st. We just get the song and dance pedophile ZOG fucks that are entrapped to Israel of the Rothschilds in some form or fashion. Are parents and Grandparents were just so fucking brainwashed though, they never really had a chance. But honestly do we? I mean yeah we can all see the bullshit for what it is now, but how do you contend against something like drone warfare when you're in open rebellion against ZOG demons who love using drones now? God I wish our Grandparents weren't retarded and did something bout this shit after the USS Liberty attack by Israel. Chances of successful rebellion were much high back then than now...

Perot yes was probably a better businessman than Trump but wouldn't have known how to deal with the likes of GHWB or Hillary Rodham Clinton / CIA / Pentagon / NSA / FBI / DoJ etc.
Don't analyze the presidency from such a personality-focused perspective, the overall management style and ability to get things done
A coup was organized against DJT starting in 2016 and is still active 2025 with billions $$$$$$$$ and the deepest swamp behind it

>rebellion back then
Disagree. The chances for 'rebellion' are far higher today than early 1990s, whether 'successful' or not is entirely different matter...
Also the mass populace, yes amazingly despite all that's occurred since 1990s such as 9/11, 2007 bailout scam, covid 2020 peach mints etc. is even more dumbed down in many ways than they were back then at least the tuned-out normies.
Only good thing going now compared to then is the Israel Quotient which looks to be affecting the upcoming election cycle 2026 and beyond for both halves of the Uniparty, D and R inclusive

Yea that was one aspect in which RP was a "traditional" centrist politician.
But remember, compared to the early '90s we've come a long way at the federal level (rise and then sunset of AWB) on the Second Amendment, and also in nationwide public awareness (many states with constitutional carry)
It's a different country now, compared to 30 years ago on that, though yes in the Dirty Dozen states they are still trying to take away/ Lawfare away our rights in total violation of SCOTUS and the Constitution

I like the guy and all, but yes, he was a product of his time. If he ran today I'd call him a lukewarm retard. I get that fixating on economic matters may have been music to the ears of the largely boomer voting base in 92, but today we need to put that shit in the backseat and focus on ending immigration/supporting remigration, and eliminating any laws that violate our right to free association and self defense. Yes, I'll take another recession and a 1000+ increase on consumer goods if the trade was mass deportation of browns and a Federal stand-your-ground law.

Well according to rhetoric coming from the new administration (one example: Stephen Miller) immigration is absolutely priority number one.
We'll believe it when we see it

>economic matters
That is still top priority, and also directly joined at the hip with immigration (in terms of jobs and nationwide employment)
Again we'll believe it when we see it
I think the screeching about 'muh tariffs' and prices etc. is way overblown; what we need to see is (not only price stabilization at the grocery store and gas pump, but) real results in our own cities/communities on jobs, housing and overall prosperty. Which I'm all less optimistic about. Not 'blaming' the new administration either per se, it's just that the problems all together are so severe, we're on the Titanic and about to hit the iceberg (global debt market on brink of collapse)
I'm surprised this hasn't collapsed years ago, already

A lot people think he was based, but he was actually a massive idiot.

He had this whole spiel where he would drone on about how "if he ran his companies like the government runs the country, they'd all go out of business". He's certainly not the first conservative idiot to argue along these lines, but he got real meme traction. I suppose Thatcher in the UK did as well with "you run out of other people's money".

The only problem is that the government is NOT like a business. The government creates money. Your business does not.

In fact I might actually be being charitable towards Perot in calling him an idiot. It's entirely possible he was just a snake.

Exactly. Which means probably never. Trump is basically a legal immigration fanatic who won't do anything significant to reduce the number of nonWhites in the country. Sure, ICE might be deporting spics, but does it really matter when Indians are still flooding onto our shores legally? If Miller was in charge then maybe I would be more optimistic.

Itโ€™s like Bill Hicks said in his bit. As soon as they get elected, every new president is shown a film reel of the jfk assassination from a never before seen angle and they fall into line. Ross was a better businessman than Trump, He earned every penny of his billons. He would have been a great President.
When America was in trouble, Ross didn't run his mouth on twitter, and moan like Trump.
Ross took money out of his own pocket and bailed US out again and again. The deep state trashed his name so bad you probably wont find much information about the good things he did.

You can do your on research to confirm... He did more for the US than Trump.
Not that gambling, hotels, prostitution, beauty pageants, selling real-estate to foreigners and building projects in other countries is bad, per se.. the way that Trump made his money through bankruptcies, and ripping off investors...
Those are things that Ross never would have done.

There would be no Apple, no iPhone, if it weren't for Ross. You wouldn't have the internet we have today without Ross.

Correct and agreed, in terms of running businesses themselves and also ethics but you have to remember Trump cast himself in a different, wider-bigger business paradigm than RP. Trump 'branded' himself personally and also branched off into a self-named celebrity on TV, something Ross Perot never would have done even if his fortune was twice the size of Trump Industries. Trump's just a different magnate, not the businessman-president we wanted but the one we ended up with.

Also fwiw land developers tend to be the more skeevy and prioritize ostentation-wealth-over-all-other-principles types compared to other millionaires/billionaires
