Doesn't it feel like we ended up with the worst of both worlds? We have oppressive governments with massive overreach watching everything we do, and unrestrained megacorps (who also watch everything we do) fucking everyone for profit. It's like a mix of the worst parts of the USSR and the USA. Real cyberpunk shit. How did we end up here?
