These cars are crap. A Chinese dude brought a "performance" EV to the track and its brakes promptly failed because the manufacturer cheaped out. This resulted in a crash where the driver's seat buckled.

Also the Chinese can't do styling at all. Top picrel was the initial concept, final design is the bottom after they brought in a white guy

You’re like 5 years late on this bud. China beat America’s electric cars pretty quickly. The American electric car market is artificially propped up, once the US decides to open its doors to chinese vehicles, it’s over. No one will ever buy a tesla again.

For a $40,000usd car with that horsepower and weight those Brembos should be totally fine. They're a pretty rock solid brand for performance cars. Judging from the amount of shredded pad I wonder if they're not fit properly, or if the changs spent $1500 per brake caliper, and threw $20 pads in them.

It can't jump over shit because the suspension and tires won't hold up. I say this having jumped my cars hundreds of times and totaling them in the process. Sports cars are meant to be glued to the ground, taking them airborne usually results in a complete loss if not also driver death.

As for HP, it doesn't matter if it can't lay it down. At 1200 hp the tires cost more than the car and no Chinese tire brand can compete with US/Euro brands on quality. And even if we take the 1200 hp figure as true, GM still does it better because their engine has spare parts and won't fall apart after hard use.

people trying to stay alive, people who don't base their entire personality on the car they drive, people who believe in fiscal responsibility, the list goes on.
There's definitely a market and even as a tech demonstrator it's cool, but me personally? I'm good, I'll take a hatchback with mass market adoption and plenty of creature comforts on the cheap.
>>512738281
your hunch is wrong, horsepower is measurable using acceleration. Peak horsepower is likely lower than the state number under engines because power generation curve isn't flat for internal combustion engines.
>>512739271
Motor. The word you're looking for is motor. It's not a full engine, and claiming GM won't fall apart after hard use is giving you away as an AI configured for reddit.
