Not having the vote be public. Every vote should have a public database of who voted for what, so anyone can recount the vote for themselves, and you can make sure your vote was recorded correctly.

But yes, there are cryptographic means of obscuring identity while validating that the voter is a living person. That requires hospital and checkup records to be centralized and associated with id though.

Doesn't mean that people who haven't been to a doctor should be excluded from voting, but if they haven't, the records will show it and that will prevent fraud.
