I think I understand now. Those dumb Nazis thought he was a registered death but he was actually an unregistered death. After signing up to get executed he would step out of line and go back to his dormitory. This trick was great because the Nazis would hand out packs of crackers to the well behaved jews who signed up for registered executions (Germans were known for being meticulous!!!) Saba always had extra crackers and would hand them out to the children. He was so kind!
