>>512770700Look... is it possible to get food poisoning from raw milk? Sure. I'm not gonna hide that fact. But that's why you develop a bond with your local farmer. In Belgium, we're kinda lucky I suppose that the EU is so anal about regulation because because of it, our raw milk is completely safe. But other than the regulations, there's also the aspect of the farmer being responsible for the safety of their clients. When you meet these people face to face and show them how happy the fruits of their labor make you, it enhances their sense of duty and pride to make sure they can keep the guarantee on the quality of their product.
When these farmers can interact with their clients and directly see the results of their hard work, it creates a better and safer environment for superior products like raw milk to exist in.
Do I think we should start mass producing raw milk and put in grocery stores? Absolutely not. That's just a disaster waiting to happen. If you do decide to consume raw milk, you have to also accept the risks that come with consuming a superior product. So that means; find a farmer you trust. Pay them well, keep them happy and they will keep you happy in return. Life is simple. And even if you do get food poisoning once, who fucking cares. It will test your immune system and it serves as a reminder to the farmer to keep his work seriously.
But even after YEARS of drinking raw milk, I've never had food poisoning. I only had food poisoning as a child when I was still drinking pasteurized homogenized milk. Friends and family report the same experience: they don't bloat on raw milk and they love the taste. No one so far has told me they didn't like it or that it made them sick. When produced properly it truly is a superior product. Simple as. But if you prefer mass produced goy slop at inflated prices, please, pasteurize your milk.
