The discussion was scheduled in advance, according to the rules, recognizing the importance of promoting commanders at the operational front and the need to allow them and their families orderly and clear rotations.

The Chief of Staff is the sole authority in orders for appointing commanders at the rank of Colonel and above in the IDF. The Chief of Staff holds an orderly staffing discussion with the participation of the General Staff forum.

The Chief of Staff is the decision-maker on appointments - after which the appointment goes for approval by the minister who can approve or disapprove the appointment.

Brigadier General Barak Hiram will be appointed Head of the Operations Division in the Operations Directorate.

Brigadier General Zion Ratzon will be appointed Commander of the Command and Staff Course at the Military Colleges.

Brigadier General Manor Yanai will be appointed Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces.

Brigadier General Moran Omer will be appointed Head of the Planning Division in the Planning Directorate.

Brigadier General Meni Liberty will be appointed Commander of the 98th Division (Fire Formation) in the Central Command.

Brigadier General Yiftach Norkin will be appointed Commander of the 36th Division (Gaash Formation) in the Northern Command.

Brigadier General Eliad Moati will be appointed Commander of the 210th Division (Bashan Formation) in the Northern Command.

Colonel Elad Tzuri will be appointed Commander of the 99th Division (Lightning Formation) in the Central Command and promoted to Brigadier General.

Colonel Beni Aharon will be appointed Commander of the 146th Division (Explosion Formation) in the Northern Command and promoted to Brigadier General.

Colonel Liron Batito will be appointed Commander of the 143rd Division (Fire Foxes Formation) in the Southern Command and promoted to Brigadier General.

Yeah. They're supposed to be strategizing the impossible or near impossible operation on Gaza City, and they can't even start to decide which generals will even start to attempt to strategize a plan beneficial to Israel's self-interests.

Also Zamir and high level officers, probably including some names on his list of appointees, were saying off the record that they will not obey orders that will put hostages in danger of being killed.

Which basically means that this entire Gaza City operation will no be carried out by IDF leadership.

Probably a big reason Katz wants to hand select every single promotion. Katz wants a bunch of yesmen gung high Ben-Gvir type retards, who will agree with all of Katz/Yahu's impractical and self-destructive ideas.

Defense Minister Katz is working to force every Reservist with severe PTSD go back into Gaza and be certified as fit to serve.
