Is the implication that the yellow lines are defensive fortifications?

seems like russia is really taking advantage of some weaknesses on the front, cutting off some supply lines etc.

you de-mine an area and you supply the troops with vehicles
then you attack their rear
hohols have to close the gap or they will get rekt

I don't think that's possible unless both left and right flank fall and there's no possible counter attack because of a lack of units

because it awards them an opportunity not to get stuck at pokrovsk area for months and move on (zig zag) to kramatorsk (the last and most fortified final boss of donbass, I wouldn't be using the corny language if it were true)

2ndly it allows them to move on to the kharkov from the south through poorly defended area and deeper inside ukraine

if they exploit it properly it can be a 100 mile land grab in the style of early 2022, but I doubt it

i dont know if russians have drone helicopters but you can easily supply forces with helicopter drones nowadays. they can carry like 100 kg of supply.

actually drone based resupply for accurate resupply of farflung/behind enemy lines soldiers sounds like a pretty good idea, if a bit situational.
this necessitates them having thought of this idea or being competent enough to implement it though.

idk how they are going to supply the front guys when ukraporks redeploy drone units to the area, any thing wheeled will explode the minute it gets on the road in rusian side

If they can easily hold what they take in this area then that might happen

So far from the outside it seems like with all the newer toys in this wars environment attacking is even more difficult than defending then it traditionally was

moving tons of shit around just opened you up to being easily spotted and destroyed with drones or artillery
nobody has air superiority so resupply via aircraft is also no golden solution

again it’s how quickly everything can move to an easily defendable location before the mass gets bug swatted

the only way it’s happening is if ukraine cannot smash columns easily here
maybe so

I've seen it with dogs and improvised robots on like the Lyut or the KRAMPUS
it's still not fully developed but it's certainly going to be soon

Russia seems to not have much, but to be fair 80%+ of their fighting force is from populations they dont care about so they probably just dont care to figure out ways to help them much at all.

they actually developed some very impressive drones themselves and are perfecting the optic cables delivery system to a whole new level
very crazy
not only drones but mine clearance (fibre optic controlled) tracked robots using lazer to detect and demine
impressive stuff

>>512823876
yeah knew russias use of drones themselves was under reported, but hadnt heard of the rest. neat, especially the lasers. know France just unveiled an anti drone man portable infantry laser.

I just dont see them getting better at drones as meaning much in terms of caring about the soldiers. of course they will prefect something that seems to be a fraction of the cost of other methods while being like 3x as effective. doesnt mean they care about their soldiers though.
