That's not how attritional war works. Look at WWI - armies fight until they break. In parts the UA lines are super thin due to attrition. My objection is that by allowing Russia a political win at home (yes, this will be a win) without extracting sufficient concessions, we simply kick the can down the road. Europe has AT LEAST five years before its remilitarization is threatening. Putin has spoken aggressively about designs on Moldova and the Baltics. With America obviously no longer interested in its position on the world stage and reluctant to honor its NATO obligations, the risk for war is enormous.

Russia has an overheated total war economy, a populace desensitized to conflict, and designs on NATO countries. It seeks the demise of NATO and NATO is historically weak. It will be able to recover from Ukraine faster than NATO can stand up an entire deterrence force, and the risk of further war in Europe will be the highest it's been since WWII if we give Russia everything it wants in Ukraine.

My objection, therefore (since you won't accept the simple right of Ukraine to defend itself against aggression) is that second- and third-order consequences are coming down the pipe. We can either deter Russia or we can tell it that it's open season on its designs. I believe we should prioritize peace in Europe THROUGH DEFEATING RUSSIA IN UKRAINE. The alternative is another WW and more death and more carnage down the line.

Another of their goals is to destroy the anti-RUS regime in Kiev. They are not going to tolerate UA being an anti-Russian golem.
Given UA being belligerent, I expect them to go for Novorossiya plus a giant buffer zone due to drones/missiles. And they'll go all the way to Jewdessa and link up with Transnistria to protect the Russians. Maybe they will agree to less if Trump can do some magical negotiations that put Russia at ease.

Missed this part because I got too absorbed in my point. Ukraine wins the same way Afghanistan won -- by inflicting sufficient casualties in Russia. This is not simple attrition; it's attrition in service of a political goal. Ukraine can absolutely win this war simply by not losing -- by making it too expensive for Russia to continue. Russia has more manpower and more economic power but it does not have infinite political will. This is probably unsatisfying because it's inelegant, but it's also realistic. War is a brutish, ugly endeavor. There is rarely any space for elegance or complex win conditions. Ukraine simply has to fight until one of them no longer can.

Nigger, the NATO was is expensive weapons that require skilled and trained officers. In a war of attrition that breaks down - so you can only fight quick wars.
The Russia way is darwinian - they have broad and deep expertise in the officer corps - and lots of cheap weapons that don't years to learn how to use.
So a few years in the highly trained UA guys are dead. The troops they have are out of weapons. So the Russians are now going to systematically (paint by numbers) steamroll them - which is what we are seeing.
I'm happy to see this happen - when you let jews run your military - as jewmerica and UA do - you'll prioritize the shekels over winning.

Don't get me wrong, though. This is war. Ukraine is indeed likely pushing people straight out of Basic into line platoons. Anyone who's done a bit of knows that no one trains their troops enough. Two months is fine for indoc, but no one's gonna be as effective after two months as they would be after a year of living the life. But all evidence points to Ukraine's training pipeline being there and good -- after all, the entire West clamors for the opportunity to train Ukrainian line units, and they've got enough wounded vets now to run huge pipelines.

my guess is that the jews have lied about the casualty numbers and that UA casualties are much higher than RUS - and that this has been the case since RUS started using drones and fabs to attrit the UA army. Supposedly the UA life expectancy is on the order of hours in the meatgrinder zones.

I could be wrong. Lets see what hapens in the next few weeks. My guess is RUS is going to roll as the front collapses. Maybe I'll be wrong.
I see no way that UA can win the war. It never could.

It would make my day if you could commit to a good-faith reevaluation of your presumptions in a few weeks, as you suggest. We have no way to check each other on this, so it'll be purely "big boy rules" and honor system, but... if that's something you'd like to do, I can commit to it in turn. My prediction is that because of the argument I laid out above (in its entire, meandering scope), Ukraine will continue to be able to hold the line and keep Russia to strictly incremental gains. I predict that there is no evidence which suggests a total breakdown of the defensive line is incoming and that Ukraine can hold onto this grinding series of tactical withdrawals as long as it retains support from the West.
