Being unemployed makes you happy
>signed up for one of these government programs that pays you to do nothing for months
>technically employed but all I have to do is turn on the pc
>spending all my time outside drinking coffee and socializing with random Tourists
>don't have to wake up at 7am anymore
>don't have to feel pressure or stress anymore
>saving enough money so I can travel around Europe in the winter
>watching wagies go to work every day in the middle of the fucking summer and be like "how the fuck could I do this shit"

This is what life is about. Going to work is a huge scam. I was never happy at work. Now I am happy.

And remember wagies: 9 TO 5 IS ACTUALLY 7 TO 6 SINCE YOU CANNOT TELEPORT TO WORK

Im.not gonna lie. I was collecting unemployment benefits from 2010 for a year and a half and it was great. I never once looked for a job. I lost 100 pounds. It was awesome buy I was living at home and had nobody to support. I would go to my bank every other month to transfer my money from my card to my untouched savings and the bank tellers would give me dirty looks

She is a boomer and thinks it is honorable.

>Being unemployed makes you happy
Why not tell yourself that being employed makes you happy? Then, in either case you could be happy, but in the latter you will also have money.

I got laid off and was only able to collect unemployment for 6 months. It's not what it's cracked up to be. I was happy for like a year just reading books, working out, and meeting women. Then it started to really get to me, especially when you start to have to think about money.

Well good for you. I have too much pride to beg or pretend I’m crazy at the SSI office. I’ll just keep on keeping on because I can’t sleep in a car and I like vidya and food

Being unemployed is embarrassing and leads to avoiding family and old friends, which can result in social isolation and, eventually, the NEET doom spiral. It's important to be prepared for this. Many are unable to adopt the NEET lifestyle without crippling depression.

During covid I was laid off and didn't find a new job for almost a year, but I didn't exactly look for one steadily during that year because I had a substantial amount of savings. It was one of the best times in my life.

Working took care of the crippling depression, bit only after I went back to being a NEET. The experience gave me the clarity I needed to understand that living frugal as a NEET is and always will be better then being a wage slave.

I never had any friends or "family" to begin with. It seems like neet lifestyle is only compatible with complete loners who had like one parent and no real relatives. If you have family pressure then it s not for you lmao

You literally cant. The actual productive or creative work is done when you dont have retarded deadlines on your head and shitty professors or bosses micromanaging you.

You literally dont have time for it and all you re left is to come to 4chan or go to normgroid shitty platforms like x yt ig tiktok whatever bullshit in your remaining 2 3 free hours from the day in case you forgot eating. Modern working is redundant and unproductive aside from the fiat currency they feed you.

Social isolation makes you start thinking so differently from everyone else that connecting with others becomes harder and harder. It's a doom spiral or despair. I've been a NEET my entire life. Today (or maybe yesterday) was my birthday, I'm 39 years young.

good for you. FUCK WORKING! Its so damn disgusting. Working is so degrading and rewardless. I tried climbing up the social ladder and all it got me is headaches and humiliation. corporations dont care about you at all. it doesnt even matter if they are part of a union or have their business subsidized by the government. "unions" are garbage i have not seen any extra benefit they provide.

i used to work for Precision Castparts Corporation. the management loved firing people and the grunts were all backstabby pieces of shit. i got fired because they didnt give me work to do. so fucking bullshit. i went to my station did my portion at a timely matter but because there was gridlocks in production i couldnt do anything and i had some bitch up in my grill pointing fingers at me for not being able to do anything. thy literally didnt give me work to do and forbid me to going to other areas. they told me to go look for work yet threatened to fire me when i did. they set up a catch 22 situation.

its happened to me multiple times at other jobs. Do work! You dont have any work to do? Go "find work"! NO! You're not allowed in another area!!!

Fuck capitalism!!!

I was unemployed for 88 days earlier this year and when I got a new job at $25/hr I’ve ended up making literally the same amount as I did while unemployed.

That was already the case because of the 'tism so the social isolation doesn't bother me as much as it would a failed normie. Being a NEET doesn't mean I never leave the house. I still go out to do shit like shop and I entertain small talk when it happens but I don't really enjoy it.

Every since I got out of the military on disability, I have had amazing adventures traveling, but the the isolationism kind of eats away at me. People are just drones nowadays. The ironic part is most of my life I have worked so hard just to succeed and ended up essentially retired at an early age before even being able to do anything meaningful. I am hoping going back to school again will eventually make my life have some purpose, this will be my second degree.

Did you apply for gibs and you're working on the side off the books, or is it some weird shit where the government gives you some sort of useless filler job?
