You have to search for any stones that might be on the bag. Clean the beans with running water. Then rinse them again just in case. Afterwards boil them for some time depending if you left them overnight so they soften and are easier to cook and more time-saving.
Of course, doing all of this is the prerequisite of refried beans, as well other stuff like cloves of garlic, onions, etc.
For me, its frijoles charros, or cowboy beans as Americans call it (albeit done with different beans than us Mexicans; still good tho IMHO).

And then some other bullshit like fruit, baking stuff, etc. Granted these prices are much higher than they used to be, but food is still incredibly affordable on anyone's budget.

Idk anon literally every single white person I know is on food stamps including me. They've been telling me to get a job for 12 years or they'll kick me off but then they NEVER do it. Well actually they did it ONCE but then immediately put me back on it. Seems you just have very bad luck. I'm about to have my renewal interview where they call me for 5mins, ask me 3 questions and then approve me every time. Maybe it's where I live.
