We have a corded phone in our bedroom, our livingroom and kitchen. We get it through Spectrum, same company that provides our internet and cable tv. We keep it because my mom hates streraming tv and smart phones, so we keep cable tv and old corded phones costs us fucking $290/ month for the bullshit. When she eventually dies, her will states I inherit the house. So I'll just have the cable and phone service ended, find a cheaper internet provider since Spectrum's way over priced and we have local providers that offer lower end bandwidth starting at $19/ month. I'm going to just get a pre-paid cell phone with limited data for about $12/month.

I still use a landline phone at my house, I also get internet through my landline. We just got fiber here but my VDSL2 is 100Mbps which is fast enough for ME. They keep trying to get me to upgrade to fiber but they can get fuuuuucked.

Only downside for me is I get literally 30 scam calls a day on my landline so I've had to pretty much block all in-coming calls on it.
