It has never been harder for an infratry to advance. The line of contact is a 30km fpv drone death zone, attacking there is crazy.
If trump says that russia has 14:1 casualties in this offensive, then that is realistic under these conditions.
Does it mean ukraine will win? No.
Will russia conquer the whole of ukraine? No.
And that's the point. Scorched earth and high costs for Russia.
Strategically, it's the only right thing to do. If necessary, amputate the foot and that's what Ukraine is doing. Geostrategically, it's a defeat for Russia either way. Only a victory over the whole of Ukraine in two weeks would be a strategic victory.
