you have to read between the lines of what different figures say, and try and account for their own biases and self-interested motivations, but it seems like one possibility is that the files released to these figurehead figures haven't been released because they are somehow inaccurate or manipulative (for example, emphasizing trump's connections to epstein while leaving out epstein's intelligence, scientific/academic and financial connections)

not that i place any special trust in trump admin's integrity and dedication to transparency, but still. it's one possibility.
