One thing that is good about picking Alaska is that Britain and France don't put subs up there, they cruise in the Atlantic awaiting orders to launch. The entire point of politics and negotiations for Russia is to stall Nato allies as much as possible and drag the war out long enough until hopefully everyone forgets about it and gives up. It's not supposed to be productive or achieve anything.

I'm just amazed putin would ever agree to go to another country in person right now. I don't think anything interesting will happen, good or bad, but let's just say....... trump will agree to sell Alaska to putin
