Boomers do not deserve social security
Many people do not understand how Social Security works. There is no "giant fund" that people pay into, the money sits and appreciates and then people withdraw from later.
Social Security is a very simple in and out trust. Social Security is paid for by current workers via payroll taxes and paid to recipients with no regard for past contributions. When boomers were paying for Social Security, the population of elderly was much smaller. The life expectancy of Americans in 1980 was 73. The Boomer generation failed to have enough children to support the system for when they got old. Boomers never actually "paid their way" and never let them convince you they did.
