A lot of Palestinians actually were the Jewish people that converted at some point because of tax benefits under the Arab empire. Also, there never was mass expulsion under the Roman empire, mostly a myth. Jewish people have lived in the area continuously. The Ashkenazi are mostly Italian in origin. Literally the Romans taking control again.

What a load of crap, every other group has more claim to it than Jews. The people of the Palestinians have been there for thousands of years, they literally predate the Persian Empire from before Rome, and have lived in the area called Palestine for several thousand years.

The Persians ruled east of the Euphrates, Rome ruled to its west, and the “buffer states” today's Armenia, Syria, Mesopotamia and Palestine, constituted the battlefield for their frequent wars. Those people have lived in the nearby region, and persisted through a Christian Kingdom that fought Muslims, who eventually won and converted the people there.

It has been Arab longer than it was Jewish. It has been White European longer than it has been Jewish. It has been Christian (Including a literal Kingdom of Israel designed to meet Biblical requirements) longer than it was Jewish, it has been Muslim longer than it was Jewish, it was Egyptian and their religion longer than it was Jewish, it was even that stupid Roman religion worshiping the polytheistic set of hedonistic gods longer than it has been Jewish.

Of all cultures with a claim to this land, Jewish claim is by far the weakest. They have the fewest roots there, the shortest length of time, and the least history in the region. Their entire claim is they wrote a book that said God gave it to them.
