Understanding the scientific method is like being gifted 50 IQ points
It puts you at an intellectual level above most people, who do not or do not want to understand how humanity learns things about the universe.

Science is the modern religion. Most people seem to need to outsource their thinking to some perceived authority. Sad

Yeah but doesn't mean you should start worshipping a dead Jew carpenter or a rapist Arab warlord. Or creatures with cow and elephant heads.

That's what I mean, when people leave traditional religion, instead of thinking for themselves, they just move to a belief system that *seems* more rational on the surface but fail to see that that's leading them astray too

I would say the best substitute for religion is secular nationalistic ideologies that promote scientific rationalism, like Marxism-Leninism or italian fascism, or anything similar. See how successful the USSR was in this regard, even if their country wasn't exactly the nicest place to live in.
Humans have a natural tendency for religion that is useful for societal cohesion and control.

One needs faith in an ultimate source of truth (God) in order to properly exercise the scientific method.

The State disagrees and sometimes scientists get fired when they get caught faking data.
Who are you to argue?

>work in academia for a decade
>almost all research after 1990 is fabricated and unchecked
>professors often quote obscure articles in books they publish to quote them in recent articles, often times unproven and unchecked
>all departments that work on similar topics are incestuous and will punch down new departments while approve of their buddies in publications
>saying that someone published a lie is considered heresy
>all academics are whores who will prove whatever you pay them to do
>the grant system wants you to make something up that sounds incredible and prove it right, even if it is impossible, otherwise you are considered a risk, thus promoting more and more fraud
>tons of professors hire foreign students because of cheap labor
>none of them have the brains or iq for research
And don't get me started on the "scientific method" which was a made up french thesis to get cash out of the local king to sound smart. Nobody does this other than fucking kids in highschool.
You prove shit with controls and stats, nothing else. Anything else is pseudoscience garbage your local mom dreamed in the pantry and gleefully calling her miserable failure of a dish a chemical experiment, Susan.

If you do not intuitively understand
>wonder something
>play around with it
>see what happens
>think about what happened
>draw conclusion
>see if conclusion applies elsewhere
>if not, why?
>repeat
You are brown or born to be a serf

It doesn't work like this past high school. The actual scientific method starts by getting an advisor and crap job in a lab. Figure out what they want as the answer. Create a proposal. Get a grant promising the desired result. Do research that someone ends up ruining. Backfill the numbers to get the desired results. Write a paper giving your advisor all of the credit. Go to a conference to present the paper. Get shitfaced at the conference in Vegas. Repeat until you become the advisor or the Unibomber doesn't seem so crazy.

In reality research goes like this
>jew thinktank needs a paper to base their own paper that they will hand out to their aipac politicians
>they go and give money to a researcher and tell him what result they need
>researcher finds any way possible to get them that result no matter the objective truth
>everybody is happy
>jew think tank gets the paper casus belli to give to their aipac politicians and for social engineering schemes and researchers get paid
Scientists haven't changed much since the old patron system of Rome.

>ABD
>lead first publishable paper
>three reviewers, ostensibly matched for methodological overlap
>one is an actual expert who provides world class methods feedback and points out a few areas requiring clarification
>two reviewers prattle on about not talking about race or COVID. comment on the intentionality of the findings. seems like the skipped the whole methods section
THIS is the vaunted peer review system
>masters students who havent learned how to read scientifically beyond a narrative
