Why did Hitler try to take over the world and killed millions? Because of his religious beliefs
What are the motives behind terrorists in the middle east? Their religious beliefs
Why do jews feel like the world belongs to them? It's in their sacred texts to see non-jews as cattle. In other words, their religious beliefs
Religion has been the catalyzer of countless wars throughout history. Religion has killed many more people than it has saved. It's time as a humanity we move forward. Towards a world without religion.
>But the problem is not religion it's intolerance!
Most religions outright command you to be intolerant of other. We either need new and vastly improved religious movements that actually aim to help humanity or the extinction of religion altogether.

Religion always shapes politics. Those who are devote of a religion will embed it in their politics. Politics change the inner workings of religious institutions. They're two sides of the same coin.

Ok so they're synonymous.
>Those who are devote of a religion will embed it in their politics
