What makes brown eyed Americans so drawn to a century old Germanic/Nordic folkish national movement thousands of miles away? Why do actual germanic whites stray away from something created specifically for them? This phenomenon needs a name.

Nazism and communism are safe-edgy ideologies for Americans because we've never actually been invaded by bolsheviks or prussians. In central and eastern Europe you'd probably get your ass beat for LARPing whereas in the US it's just a generic cookie-cutter way of saying you're angry and dissatisfied with the establishment. It's an ideology already prepackaged that requires no further thought. Just search up memes in defense of that ideology and you'll find millions of strawmen to use in your low effort bait.

Since the end of WW2 Germanic Whites and Whites in general have been taught the 'evils' of National Socialism from an early age. You see a disparity in effect in proportion to the degree by which someone who is 'socialized' identifies with being a Germanic White.
I will use myself as an example. I am German, passing. In Germany, people think I am German. But I am actually Scottish and Basque. Growing up in America, we were taught the evils of national socialism, but I never identified it as having anything to do with me because I was a first-generation American, and my family had migrated from Peru, of all places. This psychological freedom from the cultural narrative actually led me to be more supportive of National Socialism, as I did not view myself as the target of the propaganda against it.
