Prices ARE up for the good of the country. Trump can close nearly half of our spending deficit without raising taxes (yes I know a tariff is a tax you fucking retard, but they’re largely optional). Jerome Powell needs to lower interest rates to kickstart growth, which will close the other half of the deficit. But that would help Trump and so that partisan infiltator that heads the Fed won’t do it. Which is why he needs to be removed. He is not acting rationally and needs to be stopped.

This narrative needs to end. Most of that 'cheap chinese plastic consumerist crap' never physically makes it to the US. The US buys the manufacturing capacity whether or not it gets used. So if someone puts in an order for some garbage on Etsy then it gets made and shipped to a warehouse, but outside of institutional or business investment there's no flood to speak of. All of the 'small businesses' buy Chinese junk and maybe major online retailers will build a warehouse or two for it, but it's more expensive to ship and store the garbage than it is to produce it. This is why China often is called out for 'lying' about their production, or having factories run 24/7 and not releasing any data about how much they're producing. It's more effort to dispose of waste than physically produce it, all that's happening here is a conflict regarding hypothetical goods that won't end because neocons won't stop until every mode of production is unable to unionize. There's never going to be a return to 'trad rightwing' countries there's going to be increasingly privatized automated production in every country after the old left is completely buried.
