We’ve lived under 40 years of trickle down economics, starve the beast, the government is the enemy, and all problems can be solved by cutting taxes and reducing the size of government.

In that time frame, the top of the pyramid has had unprecedented, staggering increases in wealth while the middle class and lower classes have been economically crushed. The cost of higher education has increased 2 to 4 times on an inflation adjusted basis, the cost of housing has skyrocketed and public infrastructure crumbles in front of us.

Stop with the idpol bullshit that's trying to divide us and come together to tax the rich into submission for fuck's sake.

Who came up with the term trickle down economics? Which right wing politician coined it and said it’s policy? Can you share a single example of any single person on the right ever saying this? No? I didn’t think so. Why? Because like all left wing talking points it’s made up bullshit. It’s the 1980’s equivalent of Don’t Say Gay.

The best things we can do for the working case are:
- end the income tax
- end welfare
- end the fed and return the currency control to the treasury.

99% of the money that exists in the world is just digits on a computer. Your taxes don't pay for anything, they just disappear into the void.

>tax the rich into submission
Great so you’re fucking retarded. Look at the current crop of politicians. They’re all rich. If you provide these cunts with more tax dollars guess who it will go to. They’ll use the power of government to tax their competition out of business, and you’ll still get nothing. Christ you faggots with
>muh tax the rich
Are retarded. I have more respect for people like Luigi who have the balls to gun down the rich than faggots like you who think taxation is the answer to anything.

It doesn't matter how much you taxes the "rich", they will always go out of their way to find a loop hole or exploit and pay effectively zero at the end of the day, that's why they are rich. The only intelligent thing to do is eliminate the federal income tax because A) it's unconstitutional and B) the middle and lower classes actually get some cash in the bank for once

>charging people to work isn't bad for the WORKING class! You're just making it up!
I work from first principles.
All taxes disincentivize some behavior. All subsidies incentivize some behavior.
When you tax labor, you get fewer people working.
When you pay people not to work, you get fewer people working.
Wealth is only created only when people add their labor to an economy. Creating wealth REQUIRES work.
The FDR and Johnson administrations were disastrous for this country.
Anecdote: my biggest yearly expense is income tax and welfare.
The fed is a different issue. Morally, why should we be charged interest when a dollar gets printed? Why does a group of bankers deserve interest for that? The treasury could just as easily print the dollar and not pay interest to a group of bankers.

>food is expensive
>No, I don't want to raise cows. Immigrants should do it. I want to play videogames and watch porn!

>education is expensive
Yeah I don't know what to do about that one. In my experience, half the degrees are worthless and 75% of the students choose the worthless half. Since all the degrees at a university are the same price, the cheaper worthless majors are subsidizing the expensive worthwhile ones. Good for the engineers, but I don't know why the English majors even bother going. Measured in gold, degrees are actually not any more expensive than usual.

On the right they talked a lot about the Laffer curve, about free markets, about the supply side, about “small government”. All of it is about the idea that cutting taxes will drive economic development that will make up the loss in revenue at some point and will create jobs that make up for the cancellation of government services.
