That's what this has been since the 80s. Why do you think western unions rebelled against CNC machines? Because they knew more automation would cost everyone their jobs and they couldn't demand union wages anymore, retain social leverage, or feed families on a single income. China was more poor than Africa prior to the 1980s, so they took the deal because it's better than nothing. Due to automation socialism must die otherwise we're contained within a hell loop of whining about women, fake work, and I CANT BREED. I'm utterly convinced most people don't even want kids outside of social/religious pressure, you can open source tech and people will mod it for free and not even care about money. There's no more need for cheap population spam or fake 'productivity' labor, people now have all the time to develop a skillset or hobby, but of course to keep women invested there needs to be an illusion of society otherwise they go feral. I'm like 99% sure this society goes on solely to pacify women, I haven't spoken to a single man who believes most jobs contribute something of value.
