There was a lot of discussion about this on 8kun and other smaller image boards.

I've actually often wondered what percentage of pedos are autistic. I believe most transgender people are simply on the specturm, and the "gender dysphoria" stems from the inability to process and distinguish al ot of things. I'm phonefagging right now so forgive my lack of links, but several key points:
1. 10 actually is the start of puberty now on average due to tainted food supply, it used to be much later, around 14-16
1b. Europe's laws were made to coincide with puberty
2. Promiscuis sex used to be highly discouraged, even illegal depending on the area.
2b. Many places used age of consent as a proxy for age of marriage allowance. So once you did the deed you had to commit and take responsibility. These people weren't kidnapping children (the ones that did were lynched), they had the support of family usually. And again, just because it was the age it was allowed, doesn't mean it usually happened. Most people simply aren't into kids so it's a moot point.

Especially with the advent of birth control, we are in no way a comparable situation with the society of yesterday. Look at birth rates, social tensions, the economy, etc. Things are falling apart. One of our failures is repeatedly telling the next generation "no. You're not ready. It's too dangerous".
Even now people are trying to raise the age of consent yet again. Men are being lambasted for interest in 20 yo girls, being called pedo for it.

I have to agree with you here, the internet has kind of become a second life for most people. It's as innocent as a kid being a soldier in Call of Duty, a wife being glued to an algorithmic persona on Instagram, or the sick fucks who live a double life.

When you see as many cases as I do, you question the people you interact with daily. I watch for cues from my kid's piano teacher, my local clerk, the guy standing behind me and my kids in line. It is so prevalant that it causes burn out in many ICAC detectives, the females are most likely to be retained because they may have a personal story that motivates them to do what needs done. The fact that investigators, moderators and regular people need years of therapy to undo what they are exposed to and it's somehow orgasmic pleasure to another internet basement dweller is proof that we need executions in this country for internet laws like child abuse. I am over it. Kids need acess to the internet in a modern era because adulthood requires internet, we need a seperate internet that is age gated by facial recognition, 3d mapping, ID number, and a yearly visit to the internet registration office to verify your documents to make sure you are who you say you are, otherwise you get shut off by your ISP, who also does periodical checks. Games like GTA need to do verification, same with call of duty, black ops, roblox, etc.
