Martin wrote plots without planning how the story arc would end; instead, he started an even bigger story arc. When the show came to an end, it was utterly comical how they closed all the story arcs, like the NIght king getting jumped by the little girl.

Well it's your loss I guess. The scenes with Otto Hightower and king Viserys are some of the best television acting I have seen in a decade. And Daemon is one of the more interesting characters in fiction, much like early season Jaime in GoT.
Yeah it's fantasy slop. But after what an utter disaster Endo of GoT was, I was really surprised by how they turned it around. For all his many faults, GRRM was actually a competent writer of stories, back when he actually wrote them.
