Arguably the best city on a planet right now. Great climat, great infrastructure, transport, everything. Lots of parks and greenery.

I`ve been everywhere in EU, nothing compares. There might be comparable cities in Japan or Asia, but wasnt there to know. China unlikely since all their good cities are newly built as opposed to thousand years Moscow.

Its a VERY big city with aglomeration of up to 24mln, city itself being 14. You wont see 1/100 of it in a month and theres lots to see.

Huge, easy to get around with good infrastructure, lots of conveniences. There's a bunch of historical sites, museums and other curious places to visit. Center is great; some outskirts are slowly turning into ghettos due to central asian migrants swarming them. Migrants are the sole biggest problem there. The other issue are the high-rises and the increasing population density.
If you enjoy bustling large cities this is unironically one of the better ones out there.

Bus location is 99% on point, though sometimes a bus has its transponder off for some reason.
I think at least some of the bus stops also now have screens that show the same data.

There's also a project to show traffic light color and countdown on navigator apps, though idk how many of the traffic lights have been updated.

It actually is, I've been waiting for the Frenchman to respond to then tone it down somehow. The entrances could benefit from higher fences and idk why they're so low (I've never noticed; maybe I'm too short; or too sharp).

To expand upon it, Moscow has not only many parks and even forests within its border, but also nearly every residential building is surrounded by trees, lawns, gardens and playgrounds. A bit less so in the historical centre of the city, where buildings are denser, but there are still plenty of greens. During summer, Moscow looks like a giant garden. During winter, it's like a snowy forest. And autumns are incredibly beautiful, with trees and ground covered in yellow-orange-red leaves. But the price of that is that during late autumn and early spring, when there is neither snow nor vegetation, the city looks rather dreary and there is mud tracking everywhere. That's one of the reasons Russians take off shoes in their houses btw.
Almost every photo that is smug 'look at Russian city that looks like shit' is taken in those late autumn/early springs seasons. Yeah, like, no shit. Everything looks like ass. But you should see Moscow in summer or winter dude, it's beautiful. There's all sorts of wild life, I regularly see squirrels running on a tree from my window. And there is a real big ass forest park ten minutes of walking away.

The quality of education for the masses (as opposed to those able to afford private schooling) is on a downward trend here as well, it almost seems intentional. I've seen the kind of homework kids get, the tasks are often either pointless or phrased in a confusing or ambiguous way. 80 year old school books are literally better in every way except for the yellowed paper and lower quality print. Everything is phrased and designed to get the point across, not waste a kid's time.

I've never been to the city itself, once had to take a taxi between Sheremetyevo and domodedovo for an internal flight. The taxi driver was a tadjik guy who drove like crazy and managed to hit another car. The old hag that was driving the other car started bickering with him, then he told her to go fuck herself and got us to the airport on time despite the damage to the car.

This is the biggest problem, I went from making $2k to $4k and while i really never have to worry about money, looking around I can easily see I’m not the real middle class and probably won’t be for a long time. The difficult part is the higher salaries seem unattainable, I know many people who have them, but there are no such job listings, I don’t see a path to how to get such an offer or even find an opening even through a professional network (which I really don’t want to work on). Furthermore I will run into some idiot who is making more money than me by importing stupid seasonal holiday things from China and selling it on OZON/WB, at least they are stuck busy working like 70 hour weeks, but it’s still insane.

Suprisingly clean. The metro design allows you to easily traverse the city cheaply, even though the city is huge. Nice architecture, museums, etc.

Still prefer St. Petersburg, due to lower prices, better food quality and service, but will likely revisit in the future since I only saw 1/500 of the city
