The problem is with the way Hinduism is practiced today, not what’s in the texts. This is also why Christianity that is rooted in regional traditions isn’t as bad as the Christianity that is rooted in the Bible. Hinduism as it stands today is mostly just the folk behavior of the week of Indians.
