why isn't everyone tree pilled ?

if everyone planted some sort of food tree in their backyards or even front yard I feel like nobody would ever buy food again except for bread and maybe meat.
fruit and vegetables are extremely delicious. you can supplement your entire snack diet to just fruits if you want and it would be way healthier so why doesn't every house plant an apple / peach tree etc on every yard ?
maybe some people can choose chickens instead, their house should be the one furthest away on the corner with extra sound proof walls around the coup for noise and I feel like this would be nice
imagine you wake up, you got like 100 apples, you feel like a pear and you just swap some apples with the pear guy down the street. chicken guy has dozens of eggs and you go bother them for eggs and in exchange you give him some apples etc.
I feel like this would revolutionize the country of everyone just planted a tree. you don't even have to take care of trees that well unlike smaller crops and vegetables they're just insanely resilient
