There's also other documents like the Son Of God document using the term Son Of God and the Melchizedek document and how they refer to a coming Great Teacher. I know these things because I literally have them on my shelf.

Btw the Essene calendar and how they get to the date of the Messiah's coming is based on the calendar format God gives in the old testament about jubilees and the 70 weeks given in Daniel.

I've struggled with this for a long time and it was partly why I became an athiest in my teenage years because of how contradictory it seems. I honestly can't say I have an answer but my outlook now after looking into the entire history of the development of judaism and Christianity, all the extra-biblical evidence etc and especially based on those Essene texts is that it's just inarguable that Jesus was accurately prophecied to be the Messiah therefore logically the Bible's claims must be true. I've never 'felt the Holy Spirit' or believe for emotional or anecdotal reasons like so many Christians do and the written words have never sparked some comforting reaction in me (in fact, the opposite when I was a child reading such things as Moses commanding the Hebrews to kill each other or Isaiah saying God is sending Nebuchadnezzar to dash children against rocks for Israel's sins or how scary Revelation really is). To me my belief is purely rational, it just seems like it must be objectively true regardless of how I feel about it or even if it doesn't seem to make sense to me.

The only way I can answer it for you is pointing out Paul in his letters says the actual real purpose of the old Mosaic law was that it wasn't actually to make people holy but to make them realize that being Godly is impossible for humans and they will never actually meet the standard, that matching up to the law all the time is impossible. A strange answer and the idea that God would deliberately command a nation of people to follow laws they will always fail to follow consistently for hundreds of years just to make them reflect on their imperfection and need for a saviour is kind of unsettling.
Another explanation that I like more is one I've come up with myself which is that humanity was literally psychologically incapable of having higher morals and God was filtering his will down to their level; they hadn't reached higher morality/consciousness yet and had to be kept in line.

Second, the catholic church didn't just destroy the folk traditions. It also absorbed them. The catholic church was judaic in origin, but in the end was a pan european faith. Protestants distilled it back down to its judaic origin, though.
Third, Christian ethics informed the laws of white nations for centuries. Criminals were so often executed that in some periods, 2% of all men in every generation was killed. This effectively makes white people a Christian race in the same sense that Muslims are a race.
