1) Avoid the big cities
2)Avoid ghost towns
3)Have an online gig going on already you show income coming in
4)Go for low tax in states
Breakdown
>why not big cities
All currently under heavy srug epidemic, filled with overqualified cabdidates fighting for less and less jobs by the day. You could work full time and not be able to afford even a room in a shared apartment in some of these. Even if you get accepted to a city job, living outside the city and driving in is better
>Avoid ghost towns
The opposite is just as bad, as everyone in the town is already established and there is no real way to get money because there is nothing to break into. You need a mid sized developing city.
>Online gig
American landlords are insanely paranoid about financial security. They want to see you are able to pay up for the entirety of your one year lease, so either a proof of real and steady income or over 10k in savings, or both.
>Low taxes states
Leadership and social programs are too inept and corrupt to habdle taxpayer money correctly. For example, you could be living in massachusetts and pay 15% more taxes and all of it is burbed, used to pretend to help tweakers, and given to the rich. Meanwhile, if you lived in new hampshore, you pay 0% to the state itself and you can put all of that money into savings, to essentially be your own safety net.
Additionally
Rent can only be up to a third of your salary. You should look for places where the jobs that are posted actually pay enough for you to live there without help or shared living.
