I always thought that cloud-based storage was basically the same as banking, where the value is just as intangible as fiat currency but unlike that, information is actually useful.
I suspect some day soon when information is finally controlled, that knowledge will be a taxable asset like money. The information you have stored in your cloud will be evaluated and you will have to pay some of it back as tax. Who knows how they will value it, fiat currency as value is already absurd enough.
