Spencer was a useful idiot.
I'm sure you're right that Fuentes gets airtime because they think he is a useful idiot too.
But he has yet to fumble as hard as Spencer ever did.
Sure you can make the claim that /pol/ was more important in redpilling people than Fuentes. But /pol/ alone was only ever gonna get things so far. Eventually the discourse had to move into the mainstream, which means people with names and faces would have to put themselves out there with these ideas and opinions.
If the Jews had their way there would be no Nick Fuentes. Promoting him and trying to turn him into a lolcow is their plan B. It's the next best thing they can do, and it is what they would be doing to anyone who came forward and built an audience with these ideas.
You shouldn't be trying to purity test yourself into irrelevancy. As these ideas become more and more popular, more and more people are gonna come out expressing them. All of them will have personality flaws, and all of them will hold some views you disagree with.
Let's face it, there has to be something a bit wrong with you to go down this rabbithole, at least now in 2025 and certainly in anytime before now.
As for all the cult of personality shit, yeah it's weird. But again who really cares? Every public figure of any success develops at least a bit of a cult of personality, and the more fringe the views they express, the more cult like their following is. It's pretty much unavoidable. Could he play into it less? Probably. But honestly I don't see why it is such a big deal.
Most people outside his cult aren't even aware of how weird it all is. And that's where his really utility is. It's his high view engagement on other people's shows or clips from his show that get traction. It's not the cult following of people who actually sit and watch his show for hours everyday. Although those people do keep the lights on I guess.
