The majority of sexual abuse from teachers to students is male on female, which is even more flagrant when you consider men only make up 23% of the teachers.
On the other hand, it tracks with the reality of sexual abuse, which is mostly performed by males also outside of the school context.

Right.... so why do we see not nearly the media coverage for male teachers doing the same thing? Because it does the opposite of soften America's attitudes towards the age of consent. If female teachers do it we high five, if male teachers do it we go to our congressman. So are all these stories real or are a lot of them, even most of them, fake? Most media outlets are for-profit-businesses, and maybe somehow the female-on-male case attracts more views and ad revenue. At the very least they might be shared more often.
I'm not saying you are wrong, I can't prove it either way.
Maybe try to find other type of news stories that would help substantiate the conspiracy. What other articles might help change the perception that age of consent should be lowered? Are those articles present and common? What about news that would do the opposite? Are they present and common?

What is 100% true and verifiable is that on average women get a far more lenient punishment for it.
