THe problem isnt DHT, its facial downgrowth and scalp tension. As you age and/or your facial bones grow, it may outpace your sphenoid bone. Its a craniofacial problem for many with hairloss where your face will sink downwards and pull the bonemass down. THe scalp remains tethered to the back of your head but cant stand the downward pressure of the facial grown, essentially inflammed at its seams causing even more hair loss.

Once you look at pic related, you will never see hair loss the same.

Kinda, its really the bone-Jew. Ideally you want to stop growing your facial bones right when puberty stops but your facial bones just keep growing in the direction of least resistance and following the plane of the sphenoid bone (core of your craniofacial complex.) Its one of the mechanisms behind Twink Death.

You do stop growing in general size but your facial bones are still "growing" or dynamically changing in different dimensions according to how well weaved the bone sutures are. The accumulation of zig zags and might give or take a few milimeters of growth. Puberty is the end of your maturation type growth but the bones are still dynamic and do not settle in like they do for women. The main difference between the sexes is that men have the burden of having a larger brain and that impresses more growth changes onto the face. As a consequence the frontal bone will curl downwards. This creates a larger forehead and as a consequence more tension on the scalp. The surface area is expanded so blood supply in/out is less. Some say that DHT cant leave the hair follicles but I dont think thats the primary issue.

Ideally you'd want to pause bone growth right after finishing puberty and coast off of your youth.
