And they shouldn't. What matters most is that they invest enough money in their teens and twens. 100k in the stock market at age 30, plus 200k for a robot-built or renovated house.
These are the target numbers at least 90% of young Spaniards must achieve. Make your politicians do it by scrapping taxes and laws, or dispose of them.

Erase any restrictions and regulation on new home building and all of a sudden you'll have not only young Spaniards, but also other Europeans flooding in, building small houses and starting their lives there.

Secondly, credit costs need to go up much higher, because real estate prices are a function of interest rates.
In other words, lower rates increase demand for real estate, which combined with low supply (see previous paragraph), results in this dire housing situation.

When you look at it, Spain just wastes soooo much of its land. They could build the most beautiful housing complexes by the Mediterranean in the hot southern sun.

Every year 500,000 immigrants (Latinos and Arabs) come to Spain There just aren't enough homes for all of us. And renting is impossible, in big cities it costs the same as a normal salary. To be able to live you have to share a flat with 4 other Latinos, Arabs, Hindus... This was something impossible, just impossible 20 years ago. Politicians have destroyed our country, this is only getting worse. There's just no way to fix this. I forgot to mention that by 2030 more than half of the population will be non-Spanish if we exclude the boomers. It's terrifying.
