Why are Amerimutts like this?
>Be Amerimutt
>Have the opportunity to buy good bread due to huge amounts of variations of bread in stores
>Choose to buy the shittiest bread
>full of additives
>little to no nutrition

Amerimutts are truly the most cucked

It's funny when Americans travel and complain about food not having "taste" because they are so used to sugar in everything. Anecdotal, but when I was in new York (10ish years ago) everything tasted sweet to me, "light" drinks, pizza dough, bread, everything seemed sweet.

I've actually noticed the opposite.

From my experience Americans tend to treat European food as if it is this artisan liberal-esque fancy food that you only eat on holidays. Despite it being your average food.

I think you misunderstood what I said.

What I meant was that Americans tend to treat European bread (and food in general) like a fucking novelty that you eat on special occasions instead of daily.

This is probably because the thing they know as "bread" or "food" is absolute dog shit and anything remotely different is considered "fancy".

Pic rel is your average Polish bread you'll find everywhere here, yet Americans would treat it as a novelty instead of a standard.

I gave up on buying white bread, or any loaves of bread from the supermarket or even the bakers, they seem to think it has to last a week or something and always put shit in it. We only eat plain bread rolls now, flour water salt and yeast.

Yup, what the rest of the world would consider "normal" bread is "artisan" here. Bread is not hard to make, but when I use real ingredients it comes out more expensive than the "$1.19" generic corn syrup and pea protein "fortified" shit.
This is only our bread. "Artisan" bread that can be found in the grocery stores is no better, we have to find some soon-to-fail bakery that some middle aged homemaker has convinced their hubby to finance to get them something to do with their lives

How do you do it anon?

I've tried to make pizzas that are like the ones in restaurants (Not your corporate slop but actual restaurants) and they never taste the same.

The dough is always different and it never looks and tastes like a restaurant pizza no matter how much I try.

Room temp, doing dough (I make a huge amount) takes like 30 minutes and then I leave it to grow for around 1 hour; Then I cut it into multiple smaller parts and store it in the fridge overnight. It stays there in a box and I just take some dough out anytime I make pizza. I make sure to use it all within a week, but no matter how much I've tried, pizza in restaurants always comes out superior while mine feels like a cheap knockoff.

Wheat bread is a low-tier food by default.

Pure rye bread is a top. It contains peeled rye flour, water, salt. Nothing else.

Epic Pizza Dough Recipe:

500g flour
1 packet dry yeast (mix into the flour)
300ml water
2 tbsp sunflower oil
2-3 tsp salt (mix into the water/oil)

Then add the water mixture to the flour mixture. Use dough hooks (machine 3-4 minutes) or knead by hand for longer. Let it sit at room temperature for a few hours so the dough rises a bit, then let it rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Tada - epic pizza dough!

For the "Steinofen simulation" - crank your oven to its highest setting (usually around 250Β°C/480Β°F)

I think corn syrup might not be as bad as it seems. A lot of our diet uses sugar. For example the "organic" jams in the store use sugar, while the cheapo jams use corn syrup. But sugar is a tropical plant. For centuries the west has been reliant on sugar imports.

We do have many other choices, the point is that amerimutts like such bread. Meanwhile here or in any other European countries, such bread isn't even referred to as bread but instead "toast" and considered an item that only few people actually buy.

I like Dave's Killer bread. Although it is like.. $6+ at most stores. Costco usually has 2 for 8-9 though. Dave actually killed someone, and started baking bread when he got out of prison.

It is kinda interesting though... I got a 'french bread' fresh from the store the other day, and within 4 days or so it was molding. The kinds of bread like in OP, however, could sit on your shelf for a month and probably not have mold on it. Also a lot of people don't think about the fact that the glyphosphate is in the wheat, and in turn gets put into tons of products people may not realize.

The reason bread molds fast and packaged bread doesn't is because of preservatives. If you're going to use the bread quickly, you can just make it yourself and it'll be fine. If you aren't, you have to freeze what you don't use or it'll go bad quickly. This is the case with sandwich bread that is "fresh". That's why the meme breads you keep seeing in this thread are also frozen.
