The most important thing is to have help. You need to be "on the same page" with anyone you know that isn't a revolutionary. GET A DAMN SHOTGUN. The longer the barrel, the better. Because you are limited on tube size, get an over-under, and not a side-by-side. Stock up on buckshot and slugs (if you can buy them). .22lr allows for autoloading long arms in England, I believe. It isn't the most potent cartridge, but it's a goddamn start. If the law allows for .22 WMR to autoload, even better. The disinfection depends on how long you boil the water for, and what temperature the boiling water is at during this time. Allow me to explain. First of all, a "rolling boil" is recommended to be the point you actually consider your water "boiling". You have no idea how many people will fuck this up if not told explicitly.
