Always did. Writing horror fiction to traumatize young kids during the 90s when their brains are developing? Pure demoralization psyop material.

What if they also learned every once in awhile childhood trauma makes you tough as nails? I'd be afraid if I were part of the glowie apparatus honestly. I found goosebumps to be tame and lacking any real horror quite quickly. Like are you afraid of the dark it was 'safe'. Although there were less coons in goosebumps. And never bfwm on ayftd

You have to give it to the yids, they know how to spin a yarn. I mean, they make an entire industry off of it (the hollycaust).

I read them when i was like 11 and yea they were kinda creepy and vile. It was definitely what youd call an introduction to the demonic (filth, fear, gore, murder, monsters, demons etc). It seems pretty boring now but to a kid its quite scary.
Also its no coincidence, its always (((them))) rotting away at the moral fiber of humanity.

Btw horror movies used to be very tame because the culture was sensitive back then. Theyd literally throw up if they saw the horror movies of today. So over time they dial the level up on what is accepted. In 20 years the horror movies will be way over the top making us puke.

yeah in the 70's and 80's they weren't literally reenacting satanic rituals and masses, weren't doing the child bride of satan, weren't doing the "possession" or the lesbian vampires movies

Yes, he's one of the most Jewish-looking people I've ever seen.
I loved his books when I was a kid, Goosebumps and Fear Street. His Choose Your Own Adventure-style series called Give Yourself Goosebumps was also fun.

>In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stine explained, "I have one rule for Goosebumps and that is the kids have to know that it couldn't happen.
>They have to know that it's a fantasy.
>If I establish that the plot is so absurd – it [can] never happen in any lifetime – then I can go pretty far with the scares."

>Stine gave his reasoning for this, saying, "It's a scary world for kids and I try to keep out a lot of real-life things that might happen to a kid that might be bad and make it pure fantasy.
>Now when you write for teenagers or adults, you have to do the exact opposite.
>Every detail has to be believable or they're not gonna buy it."
