you mean ukranian resources, right? there's no way trump gives up US resources. ukranian resources have been on the table for the US, but trump may give that up.

i think an initial deal has already been made though and the face-to-face is about discussing how to move forward.

i doubt most russians would really care. russia is a single country up against basically all of nato pumping billions of dollars into ukraine. it's a stalemate at this point with russia choosing not to exercise their full might.

While our goals have not shifted one bit and about to be achieved fully.
how is it a win from your point of view?

it was more advanced in 90s..
I am not sure if you have noticed but you people stagnated quite a bit over the years. At least in industries that matter.

Lifting sanctions is the biggest offer obviously then US multi million dollar oil tech can bid to come in there and build modern refineries or drilling platforms that are turnkey ops where you collect a percentage probably tripling national revenues in a single year. Only Russia and Venezuela have cheap access to the kind of heavy crude preferred for diesel mfg. US in Alaska has access and Canada but way more expensive.

also it marks quite a lot of things.

since 90's people here were overwhelmingly pro west and pro usa. (myslef included)
it has changed. And that cured our society from NGOs influence that is being used to take over smaller countries in the region.

also after the fall of Soviet Union there were unspoken rules and expectations about how Russia treats new countries that originated from USSR.
The rules have changed.

We are now expanding into new areas of influence like Africa. Those wanted us since forever but we were too shy about it to be friendly to europe.

There were some post ww2 claims western countries had that we were negotiating before the war in ukraine. Now we simply dismissed those.

Before this war BRICS was not united. Now it is.

China was actually pro western because they thought that there is always a possibility to strike a deal with americans. And that they won't try to destroy China just because it is being successful.. Now those delusions are gone.

this war helped us get our shit together on so many fronts.
simplified and clarified everything

But most importantly we got back our Super Power status.
and US lost it's Hyper Power status.

oh it is not even an offer at this point.

it is a condition to even start any serious negotiations.
The truth is though. Most of those sanctions are beneficial for us. The reason why our economy is doing so good is not war time economy. It is the fact that businesses that were not able to compete against western products are flourishing now.

interesting.. I always wondered why our oil was considered low quality and was cheaper than other kinds. I guess it is some jewish marketing.

You have access to "sweet crude" but there's that one basin in Russia with hundreds of billions of heavy crude aka high sour/sulpher content oil.
Because of the shenanigans of OPEC during the 1970s the vast majority of refinieries worldwide were converted to adapt to heavy crude and also because your oil is much cheaper than say buying 'Louisiana Sweet' or Arab oil.
Then fracked crude was discovered but
refineries could not efficiently process it and revamps/new refineries were too expensive and basically impossible to build in any western country due to regulations now so can only use imported heavy crude.

If sanctions get lifted then 'cheap' heavy crude gets shipped to the US again and overnight diesel fuel prices drop which means Trump gets his rapidly expanding economy.
US can also pump this out of Alaska but vastly cheaper to simply pick up the phone and buy it from Russia or Venezuela, every country with legacy refineries has same problem

Not without nuclear weapons, the sabre rattling stopped, not quite sure what happened with the Greenland propositions but personally I think the war is cooling off, Russia keeps crimea and some territory, I think it's almost over and Geneva convention I believe are in talks to sanction drone warfare

I finally found what Trump is reportedly offering Putin
https://www.newsweek.com/alaska-arctic-oil-gas-putin-trump-ukraine-war-2113437 (use wayback machine if blocked)
Newspeak and Telegraph claiming Trump is going to offer an oil and rare earth materials deal where Russia gets access to Alaskan reserves off the Bering straight in some joint partnership and they get access to Ukraine rare earth materials.
Trump is also lifting aerospace sanctions so Russians can import plane parts or sell jets.
That's a pretty sweet deal where effectively Alaska starts trading directly with Russia as there's only a 3mile seperation between them.

Not as much as the cope-posters here want. Tomorrow will be optics only β€” handshake photo op with Putin to make β€˜negotiations’ look possible. NATO won’t pull funding this quarter. Zelensky survives this round, maybe replaced by spring if the counteroffensive flop hits winter morale. Screenshot this.

The war has been pretty quiet for months. The front is going nowhere. So I don't think that many are dying at the moment. That's a Bakhmut tier body count, and that kind of fighting is not going on.

He's not. US just wants to pretend to be out of it so they can organize a ceasefire if Russia finally, finally decides to give suicidal EU what it wants and starts launching nukes. Zelensky's terrorists attacks are going to get much worse. And Trump will be like "I tried to help. I tried to warn the Russians. Now the nuclear fallout and/or biological attack is spreading quickly throughout Russia. I didn't want this. I want the killing to stop. I really do." Guy is a closet homo.

This is going to be just another nothingburger. Trump will just keep on waffling and doing nothing, babbling about new sanctions in two weeks after two weeks after two weeks, while USA keeps selling weapons to Europe (and Europe in turn gives those said weapons to ukraine to kill russians).
