Airports is one of the biggest cesspools of ID-verification, which is why law enforcement gets more incidents out of it, and because of increasingly dystopian societies in the west, we get news (psy-ops) about police activity more and more, to instigate the need for stricter laws, and thus less freedoms to the citizen.
This is also why we merrily took migrants. It's because the authorities and government know that if you have enough crime, it's the strategy to rid the masses of their freedoms.
