Is there any chance of South East Pennsylvania ever getting annexed by Delaware or Jersey? There's a big thing with SEPA's transit not getting funded because the rest of the state doesn't want to pay for it but the majority of the states Tax money comes from SEPA. It's an interesting situation

Above Fairmount is Brewerytown (which is apparently gentrifying but who knows) and Strawberry Mansion (which is complete shit) and then it doesn’t get remotely decent again until you get to East Falls and Manayunk-Roxborough. On the other side of the city there’s some pretty heavily gentrified neighborhoods North of NoLibs in Old Kensington and obviously Fishtown but beyond that is Kensington (which is uber shit) and Port Richmond (which isn’t great). The nice city parts are bounded by Fairmount, NoLibs/Fishtown, Society Hill/Bella Vista, and Rittenhouse. Anything beyond that square is a gamble except for Manayunk.

Montgomery County, Chester County, Bucks County, and even Delaware County have some of the nicest suburbs in this country and Philadelphia is actually a really good city. There are just too many blacks and white liberals. Pennsylvania is a solidly East Coast/Northeastern/Mid-Atlantic state while Ohio is a solidly Midwestern state. The vibe is different. Imperceptible to foreigners maybe but not to us. The landscape is also totally different. Pennsylvania is mostly bonafide Appalachian with a mix of hills and lowland river valleys with thick forest while Ohio is mostly flat plains or plateaus.
