What is really going on in Ireland

>sullen brooding presence
>nervous disquiet
>Enclosed feeling
>Depressing
>Natural evil literally coming up from the roots

All words to describe Ireland from Tolkein. When I visited it felt like the twilight zone, especially the southern coast. I like the people, but they are in a perpetual state of melancholy, which is why I think they drink so much.

Can a Paddy explain what darkness is lurking there?

Why was Lord of the rings so fucking gay btw? Sam and Frodo were the two gayest, ass pounding little hill homos I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure Tolkien wanted dick, but his Christian leanings made him sublimate it into writing. He had a gay wizard visit hobbit land to smash little buddies. That's so fucking gay.

Ire = Wrath
Land = Land
Wrath Land

I know it should be Éire, but the more you Anglicise it, the more you reinforce the pronounciation of ire. Which means wrath. So they are literally cursed subtly every time they pronounce their name in English. Whether by chance or by design. Eireland, somewhat dampens the spelling, might help.
